Are they rips or full isos? Also, do the original games work off umd online for you? (piracy is illegal so therefore if you have the isos you MUST have the umds or we cannot help).

piracys a crime and destroys gamings future

they are both full isos and also ripped by myself but no luck??
any ideas as pulling out umds all the time kind gets real crappy real quick

Since you own the games, Just use the originals and your problems are solved.

right then sorry for delay in posting
nope the isos are pretty much useless including a full iso copy from my umd onto my new shiny 2gb card :(
now this is the intresting bit
id never actually tried twisted metal online via the umd as i had only just got it,atv etc all work with nps so just took it this would also
but twisted metal still logs onto lobbys ok but wont connect to anyone else
and this is th bloody umd FFS :(
ive tried forwarding the ports 6000 to 7000 and even tried to use the dmz option in the router but still connot connect..
im using a netgear wgt624 and an asr-8000 modem
any ideas are very welcome
and btw ive given up on the isos online thingy tbh
shame as the actual umd loading times kill me :(

Set up a DMZ and put your psp in it, that way you can iliminate the fire wall from the issue.
I cant see much danger in someone hacking you PSP
when you guys say you play them online how are you doing that!!!
i wasnt aware you could do it!

Hey guys I posted this in newb section but i think it belongs here.
I have a quick question I bought fifa 06 and riped it to fit my mem stick to cut down on loading time. I was able to play online 11 games and now everytime i try to play a game online I go to lobby start a game with someone and after loading i get "User has disconnected" everytime. My question is why was i able to play 11 games online no problems and now cant? Does it have to do something with having it on mem stick? I havent tried UMD yet since my cuzin is using it but if I cant play of mem stick then ill get it back. But its really weird that for 2 days I was able to play with no problems and now this, can anyone shine some light on this. Is EA checking somehow if you have original UMD in psp (like the xbox live service)? Is that possible?
Thanks

I have no problems playing online using iso's in general. The only one that caused me problems was Gretsky 2005, and it was a rip. Of course there's always xlink kai, which works not only for adhoc games, but also those you tend to associate with infrastructure such as XMen 2 and Twisted Metal. You just might have to hang around longer than usual to get some people together in a room, but at least you can chat with them which you have no way of doing using the infrastructure feature of those games officially supporting online play.

I'm sorry but i was wondering what a dmz is because i am having the same problem with twisted metal. I can log into the lobby but every game i try joining just says connection failed. Please help.
Thanks :o

A DMZ is a direct connection through your router to the Internet. Your router comes with a firewall that filters some information that it deems dangerous, or just blocks ports that are known to be used by hackers. Your PSP isn't high on a hackers list (he won't know what to do to hack it probably anyway) so it is fairly safe to do this on your PSP.
If you log into your router and find the DMZ option, simply enable it and type the local IP address that is your PSP (this can also be found on one of your options)
