Reports say that a Taiwaneese company at the Hong Kong electronics shown off a new PSP To TV adapter which doesn't require opening the PSP at all. The same company has manufactured the famous TV adapter for the GBA some time ago.

Taiwanese company at the Hong Kong Electronics show, pulled Lik Sang behind their closed curtain and showed off their new TV Adapter project, which doesn't require opening the PSP system at all and therefore will be easier to use and not void the warranty. The same manufacturer already developed the famous TV de Advance a couple of years ago, a TV Adapter for the GBA.

This new peripheral takes a completely different approach and clips on top of your PSP screen, with two screws to fit at the back of the handheld (in these two holes you can see on the top of the UMD drive). Some sort of pyramid grows from the base, with a precision lens and mirror system at the top, capturing the image and light, in a similar way a scanner or camera would. It then converts it into a video signal that is sent through video leads going from the adapter to your TV set. While that sounds complicated, we were quite impressed with the result.

The retail price of this like the PSP2TV, is expected to be over $100.

Hmm...whats to stop the image bouncing all over the place when you are playing?

why dont you just put a video camera in your lap and focus it on your psp. BAM same thing this is.

Well, I am sure that it will block out the light better, and offer better quality, but I would still rather have pure digital out of the PSP. It is like compairing a camcorded movie to a dvd rip.

exactly what I was going to say. This just looks like a external image capturing device. The camera on your laptop is pretty much the premice.
