just use "DISPLEX" or a similar product, works great

Also brought a cheap CD polishing kit that "Fills" holes and scratches. 2 part process involving a very fine paste then buffing it and adding a 2nd coat of gel like polish.
Seem em many places branded different but all the same type of thing.
HMV Game etc should stock em.

toothpase is abrasive. it will scratch your psp. i think that brasso will work. many have said that it does work.

toothpaste is great for CD's and DVD's that wont read. DONT try to use it as a plastic polish to remove scratches. Use it to get a disc to read so you can back it up.

I also have some sort of problem with my screen.

There are wierd small blotches and lines on my screen, they look like someone spilt water on the screen (they consist of different colours).

There is one major one in the middle of the screen and some minor one at other places.

I can't seem to get rid of them with water and with a cleaning cloth. Does anyone know what they might be or how to get rid of them, I'm completley clueless:confused::(

DISPLEX is the daddy.. buffs it up as good as new.. i use is all the time to refurb psp's.. if the scratches are deep, use brasso first as its a heavier abrasive, then clean with damp cloth, dry and then use displex with a real soft lint free cloth or good quality crap paper. (cheap sh!t will scratch it again). it will look as shiny as the day you bought it.

Also if the the shiny metal ring on the rear UMD door is scratched.. use brasso and polish it with quite a bit of vigor.. after a few minutes the original painted coat will dis-appear and you are left with a nice shiny scratch-less ring.. but again be careful not to rub the psp lettering off the inner circle

Anyone know a common brick and mortar retailer in the states that carries displex? One in the New England area (preferably boston)
