3 Milion 360 units in 90 days & Reduced 360 launch stock

Ok here is some quite contradictary news - Microsoft estimate they will sell 3 million Xbox 360 units in just 3 months time, in related events it looks like Microsoft have cut shipments to retailers - according to an EB Games employee in Southern California, his chain will only be able to fulfill 14 of 43 preorders on launch day. MS will only ship around 400,000 units on launch in the US.

Looks like there will be a few unhappy wanna be next generation gamers this Christmas - if you think you'll be one of them, how desperate will you be to get your hands on the Xbox 360 ? Paying sky high prices on EBay perhaps ?

I don't know what gates has up his sleeves. But usually when there's a shortage of any product. sliming the production line is NOT smart idea. It doesn't take a genius with a degree in rocket science to figure that out......hell even a child with downs sydrome could figure that out.

The shortage just looks like a big ploy so ppl think they cant get it, then when they relize they can loads go out and buy it. I have to say if thats what they are doing its quite clever. Im getting one when i can get hold of one, i didnt preorder because i wont have the money for it on release. But in january il be getting one.

Agree with above, When there's demand and theres shortage people will buy it as soon as possible fearing they won't be able to buy it on a few months.
