what i think after testing out the 360

today i went into gamestop near where i live to try out the xbox 360 to see if i like the system and if i'm going to use my preorder and buy it next week. i spent a good 20 minutes with it playing COD2 and King Kong. The system is quite a bit smaller than our old xboxs. One thing i definitely liked was the feeling of the controller, the size was perfect. What I did not like was the graphics that the system put out, especially COD2 which in my opinion looked like you were playing it on a PC @ 800x600 with medium settings. Maybe its just the game itself that isn't that great looking. King Kong actually looked pretty good but nothing compared todays high end video cards. I am actually still deciding whether or not i'm getting this system on launch. if anyone has tried it...what do you think?

Well I already screamed it out on this forum, but to say it nice I think it sucks :-s

But I don’t think xbox360 is showing mutch of its power now, it should be 1/3, and also none of this games where original made for Xbox 360. Call of duty 2 is just a port of pc/Xbox, King Kong is also a cross platform game and kameo was meant for Xbox.

Tough I am disappointed in the Xbox 360 for now; I still will get it tough.

everybody i know that has played cod on the pc and xbox 360 says there identical. one of my friends is a die hard ps2 fan and said he thought it was impressive. everybody has there favorites and ofcourse there all gonna pick and choose, but xbox360 is starting off much stronger then the ps2 did. ps2 was nothing but hype, atleast 360 is delivering for the most part. a little disappointed that the game i wanted most doa4 is no longer a launch title and dead rising got a massive delay, but i am definately looking forward to condemned.

sometime I'll waddle to the local walmart and see if I can try out pgr3. Thats about the only title I am thinking about right now, I enjoyed 1, and 2 was even better. I don't think its worth $770CDN though, I rather buy an actual car and race in it before spending that kind of dollars.

I tried it yesterday at a local gameshop. Although I must say king kong looked (pretty) nice, I saw the game do some frameskips :rolleyes: ... I hope future games improve and look better too, cuz oherwise I'll be getting a ps3. The revolution will be mine no matter what, I love this new controller.

A friend of mine just came back from states hes a hardcore pc gamer he said he had a go on the xb360 and he found the xb360 to be lame cod2 was one of the games he played he said its no where near in same league as pc unless you have an average pc also some one said xb360 lot smaller then xb no its not dont know what xb360 you saw my friend even has pics of himself next to it meassuring with his arm he showed me.

Did he make sure it was in 720p ? ALOT of stores have it n 480I , you need to go into the system settigns and changed it and make sure the cables are switched to HD mode . I really liked it ( after playing it on a HDTV in 720p ) . I am getting my 360 this saturday so when I get it and call of duty 2 I will post my impressions .

i have played alot of the games and i love them all, but... you wont be seeing the best looking games until later in the console's life cycle... look at the current gen, Halo Combat Evolved does not even hold a candle to Doom 3 or Riddick. and those games could have never been on the system so early in the cycle because they didn't know all the graphical tweaks and compression types they use today. just wait 'till after Gears of War, that is closer to high-end 360 specs. Just wait for the really awesome looking games to come out.
