Any phillips screwdriver set will have the bits you need, just buy one with the handle and you can change out the bits. As for the triwing, I'm fairly sure they only make one size. When in doubt tho, just get the one made for the gba, that's what I have and its the same size.

You won't find a triwing at a hardware store, you can only get them from specialized websites that sell gaming products. The outside phillips screws are smaller than the inside ones so you will need at least 2 sizes of phillips head drivers so you may as well buy a set.

There are many types of screwdrivers, philips head, flat head, hex head, etc. A philips is shaped like a +. I haven't ever seen triwing drivers in a store, but I never really looked since I already have one from my old gba and its the right size.

That's the triwing you will need, but it doesn't say a size.

You have your answerer a set of normal screw drivers cost $3 at Walgreen’s and most of there stuff is overpriced any screw driver about the right size will do just look at the screw and eyeball it, even a flat head one could do in a pinch
as for the triwing you will onley find one size around the internet that is the right one, have you never used a screwdriver before?

edit: the size of the triwing is 3mm btw I just happened to find that info

You can get any old set of screwdrivers for a few bucks on many web sites or hardware store. The triwing is going to be harder, you are definitely better off getting that online unless you 100% for sure know where to buy one.

If you have a dremmel, the tri-wings are pretty easy to make yourself. Just use a cutting disk to cut the end off a normal thin screwdriver and use the same bit to just shape the end. Mine doesn't look perfect, but it does the job perfectly.

I have bought a toolkit with a lot of bits, including triwing bits. But I read in a tutorial that the bit has to be inserted pretty deep, so I wondered, is it possible to use a triwing bit in a screwdriver for changeble bits.

This is the toolbox I own:

http://www.mod-chip.com/en/access_pro_tool_kit.php

Do you guys think that it will work with that? Since the screwdriver is pretty thick... Or could you perheps measure how deep and wide the holes are so I can measure if it will work?

i had to sharpen it to fit in the triwing screws and had to make the base narrower to make it fit in the 2 deeper holes, looks fucking ugly but does the job great and doesnt ruin the screws like other methods.

Ugly indeed :)

But it looks good in its way, was it hard to cut this? Becuase it seems to be pretty hard steel, I can imagine that its quite a struggle for a dremel to cut through it.

No its easy with a Dremel and the right "Head".

U dont have to cut it u have to grind it till its narrow enough.

what about the phillips-screwdrivers?

you say they are "+"-shaped. +-shaped screwdrivers are the "standard"-screwdrivers, along with the standard-screws that are +-shaped. just like the minus-shaped ones.

i just want to make sure that the phillips-screwdrivers are not something special i have to order, because my dad has a lot of screwdrivers (plus and minus shaped).

The Bits are too big to fit in the deep holes.
