I've been hearing different things from different people about the ability to play Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX with a mod-chip. So far, the only solid evidence I've seen supports the fact that this game is unplayable with any mod-chip. This can be viewed here:

But, a user on GameFAQs says his launch-release US Wii is able to play the game with the Wiikey. There may be a hardware difference preventing the game from working on batches released after launch. Does anyone know what the actual cause of this is? I'm trying to find more people that are able to play the game on a US Wii with a Wiikey to compare when they received their Wii. Can anyone help me figure this out? I want to see if my Wii would be compatible with the Wiikey and allow me to play this game.

I don't have the game, but I'll try to find it and test it out on my D2B Wii, just for argument's sake.

I think the guy on gamefaqs has the retail game. It's probably just a bad dump.

The person here: http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/nint...ion-print.html
tested with the retail game and is still unable to play. If the retail game is playable then I'll order the Wiikey, since that's what I'm trying to play.
It is definately not playable on any wii that isnt japanese. Its also not a bad dump, seeing as tons of people have played the backup fine on a japanese wii.
From reports of other people it seems not even the japanese gamecube clash of ninjas work well on a wii, if at all, unless its japanese...

Well thank you for your replies everyone. So far it looks like I'm going to have to wait until Datel's Freeloader comes out.
