HELP!!! CK3 - Liteon drive not powering

Hi, can someone please help me, ive just been geting the key of my liteon, went fine and then i acidently deleted the key. ibve now gone to retrieve the key again and my drive will not power on at all. nothing has been soldered ive been using the probe it just sudenluy wont power or eject or anything

Pull the power and try again.

Hi, thanks for the reply, no luck though, ive tried putting the drive back in the 360 aswell and it wont eject from there as i say i dont think any power is getting through the drive

Sounds like you have put the power connector in the wrong way round.

Do you still have the original Key? if you do then your in luck. all you have to do is start in Dos without going to windows because windows wont recognize the drive since it has no flash. Im guessing you tried to erase the flash via jungle flasher and it froze and now it wont eject or open right? If so continue on.. Before you go to dos go to windows and use jungle flasher and open your key there and make your ix.15 firmware. Next restart windows and start dos and do the erase again by typeing L-O-Erase.exe (Port) (Com #) and it should give you a status maybe 80 or so do it until you get it to 72. Once its on 72 type Dosflash and menu comes up with your ports choose the number with the port the xbox 360 is connected to then type W for it to write firmware and then it might give you an unknow flash dont worry do it again until you get. File name to update with and write down your firmware which should be Lite_CFW.bin then it will re erase again and will update your firmware. Now plug it in xbox 360 And it should be ejecting and playing Backups. any questions feel free to contact me

failing that you electricaly shorted the drive so you shorted the pcb as the kit has shorted and took the drive or you inserted the power wrong way round (like ash said) and that caused the short.

with no power you might have probs if you didnt get the key and such.

Hi, thanks for your help, unfortunatly i overwrote the files though and the ones what overwrote it are invalid, is there anything i can do. thank you very much for your help

Hi, i know i didnt insert the power the wrong way round, when i read that in the tutorial i was very nervous so very meticulous about it.

So you dont have either the dummy.bin or the 3 other files inquiry.bin, key.bin, or identify.bin? you will need the key to make your firmware.. dont try to write nothing to the drive without your key.. Try to see if you made a backup somewhere cause without it cant help

Hi, i havnt any keys or dummy.bin. I got the keys then realised i had no dummy.bin so i told the program to remake it with the dummy but it overwrote my keys and failed because it didnt give me chance to use the probe, so i have nothing

If its any help i bought it from woolworths recently and used an hairdryer on the warranty sticker, would they accept a return? or do they not with closing down? ior could i send off to xbox?

did you check your 3 files to see if it has the key in it? If you did infact overwrite them then see if you can return it to the store first if not then microsoft.

hi, the key file is only 1kb and the rest 0, though how would i open them to check them, i tried notepad and got chinese symbols. How long does microsoft take to return the console?

load an orig.bin,just any into firmware toolbox,can be hitachi or samsung,you get a fw pack with firmware toolbox,its a folder with fw for its name.

now look at the box where the key is usualy displayed,theres a replace key button,just to the left of that is another tiny box with ... on it.click that after loading the orig.bin and it will let you browse to the key.bin,open it and if all is good you will see a key.

if you get one back it up to a cd straight away.
